Hand-Knit Jumpers

I used to say that "I crochet for work and knit to relax". This is changing now, though none of these are made using the knitting needles you might have seen in the hands of your grandma (or indeed your overly crafty friend).

Some time ago I aquired a vintage manual knitting machine, which allows me to relatively knit in the fair-isle and other styles. I use punchcards to create my own unique designs and then spend about a day creating each jumper, with the last few hours being dedicated to stitching and finishing them by hand.

I use exclusively cotton yarn for these, making sure they are durable, soft and breathable.

Hand-Painted Denim Jackets

I love denim jackets but there comes a point where you have several and the next time you see one calling out your name you start hearing this little voice of "do I even need this?" at the back of your head. I see painting the jackets as a solution to this problem.

I source my denim jackets on Vinted and in charity shops, trying to score older, better quality denim, as well as items which have been unloved and unworn for too long. This way I don't have to worry about adding to the problem of overporduction in the fashion industry, whilst also allowing the garnment to dictate some small changes to the design, eg. to cover up an old stain or to work with the stitch lines and existing decorations.

I paint each jacket by hand, using some stencils which I created for this specific purpose. This way I can get the general design to be more or less consistent across garments, whilst still decorating, shading and finishing each one individually, making them completely unique.

Some of the designs are inspired by the botanical skulls designs which you can find as stickers too.

If you have a jacket that needs reviving or your own idea for the design, get in touch.

Socks

Coming in three distinct varieties and in several colourways, these are something to behold!

The three main types of socks are:

  • Seasonal Frog socks which come in 4 seasonal colour ways,
  • Embroidered socks with a carefully embroidered cheeky frog on the ankles
  • Goofy Frog socks which use the natural shape of the foot to display a frog face and... a cheeky bottom.

Pick your favourite or get them all!

Personally as a colourful sock lover, developing these was not only lots of fun, but more importantly incredibly fullfilling.
